NGO Art Studio/UMD/MCIC Birthright Macedonia Closing Ceremony
On July 30, 2015, NGO Art Studio, Irena Gapkovska, and UMD Advisory Council Member Nicholas Thaw hosted the closing ceremony for Birthright Macedonia participants Natasia Kalajdziovski and Lucas Strezos from Canada, and Filip Jotevski and Aaron Kimson from the United States. UMD Co-Founder and Vice President Aleksandar Mitreski gave keynote remarks. UMD Advisory Council Member Peter Dallas thanked everyone for making Birthright Macedonia possible, especially our local partner the Macedonian Center for International Cooperation (MCIC). Minister Jerry Naumoff, former Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister Radmila Sekerinska, U.S. Ambassador Jess Baily, and UMD Miami Representative Mishko Josifov were among the dignitaries who attended. It was a great conclusion to a fantastic program bringing young Macedonian Diaspora members to visit their homeland, Macedonia. NGO Art Studio organized a special exhibit in honor of the BRM Program.
